At Dye Designs Photography we strive to offer our clients something a little different than what other photographers in the area are providing.  With that being said in 2013 we intrduced “Real Kids” Portrait Events and we are very excited to be the first ones offering this in the area!  Hosting your own portrait event is a fun and exciting way to capture those sweet childhood moments that you’ll always treasure.  We can’t wait to help make your portrait event a success!

Here’s how it will work.  You invite 8-10 friends with children (sitting up to age 12) to come to your house or my studio.  We set up an area outside to do all the photos.  Each family booked gets a 20-30 minute session and then immediately following the session they have an ordering session in an area of your home or my studio.  Here’s the fun bit; you receive $30 in portrait credit for every package sold!  This means by hosting a “Real Kids” portrait event you get a free photo session for your children, up to $300 in portrait credit and a beautiful hostess gift.

If the session is at your house, turn it into a party!  Have a space set up for the children to play and the moms to socialize before and after their photos.  It’s a great way to get together and network with friends, family, neighbours and maybe meet a few new friends.  The only thing I require is an outdoor space with some shade and a quiet area where people can view products and order their portraits.

Here’s some more exciting news; there is a quick turnaround time for portrait orders!  Since orders are placed before the final edits I only edit the portraits that are ordered.   This means that I can have all orders edited and sent to the print lab quickly so that you and your friends are not waiting a long time for your orders to come in.

These events are meant for children however if you have 8-10 friends interested in family portraits you could have a “Real Families” portrait event instead. What about hosting a “Glowing Mama” portrait event in my studio for you and all the other mama’s in your prenatal yoga class. Want a portrait event that includes a day of pampering for yourself?  Why not have a “Real Woman” portrait event instead?  I have great hair and make-up artists available to come for the day (with a small additional fee) to pamper you and your girlfriends.  You can choose to have your portraits outside in the location of your choice OR join me in my studio for some sexy 50’s pin-up style or boudoir photos.
